Nestled just a stone's throw from the stunning Torres del Paine national park, Hosteria Lago del Toro was the perfect backdrop for our Christmas getaway. We spent three nights in a cozy cabin, complete with a wood-burning stove that made for snug evenings filled with laughter and warmth. The private bathroom and seating area in the room allowed us to unwind after chasing the breathtaking mountain views, and I must say, waking up to such breathtaking scenery was nothing short of magical. The communal areas boasted tranquil gardens, which were lovely for a morning coffee, while the attentive and friendly staff felt like family by the end of our stay. They helped us find nearby dining options and made us feel right at home. Although dinner was a bit hit-or-miss in terms of price, the dining experience was memorable, especially with the local wines to accompany our meals. Connectivity was a bit spotty, with free WiFi mostly available in the lounge, but who needs the internet when you have such stunning views and great company? It was a holiday that not only recharged our spirits but also deepened my appreciation for nature. If you're planning an adventure in Patagonia, Hosteria Lago del Toro is an enchanting choice that balances comfort with the rugged beauty surrounding it.
